Grandmaster Jedan Figueroa Ph.D/MA
Grandmaster Jedan Figueroa, a native of Puerto Rico has been involved in the martial arts since the 1960's. He first started training in the martial art of Menkio Ju Justu Miyama Ryu under Sensei Miguel Lozada in Puerto Rico.
Grandmaster Jedan Figueroa currently holds rank in Ju Jitsu Sanuces (6th degree), Ju Jitsu Miyama Ryu Academy. In 1988, he he took first place in two jujitsu tournaments, black belt divisions in Crow Point, Indiana and Vega Alta, Puerto Rico. In 1990, he founded the Jedan Ryu Jitsu System and was also Elected Director Representative of the World Council of Ju Jitsu Org. for Puerto Rico. In 1991, he was Instructor of the Year for Excellency in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Founded the Puerto Rican Ju Jitsu Association. In 1997, he Hosted a TV program of Ju Jitsu techniques in a national channel in Puerto Rico and in 1999 received a Ph.D and Inducted into The World Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Inducted into the American Federation of MArtial Arts Hall of Fame in Atlanta, GA in 2000. In 2001, he was inducted into the International Martial Arts Hall of Fame, World Head of Family Sokeship Council.
Grandmaster Jedan Figueroa currently resides and teaches his system in Puerto Rico.
