Grandmaster Olohe Solomon Kolomona Kaihewalu

Olohe Solomon Kolomona Kaihewalu has 52 years of sharing the ancient art of the Hawaiian self-defense called Lua. Lua is the "ancient art of dislocation." Olohe Kaihewalu started learning his Lua at the age of 13 years. He worked as a Kuma-teacher with his father. He continued his teaching of Lua's roping, choking and dislocations to Airforce personnel in West Germany between 1955 and 1960.

Solomon Kaihewalu is one of the seven founders of Lima Lama. He is also the founder of the Lua Halau O Kaihewalu organization. The name means: Lua (the art of dislocation) Halau (long house of training) Kai (sea) lhe (spear) walu (8th), which means 8th sea of 8th spear.
