Grandmaster Thomas Young

Grandmaster Thomas Young studied the art of Kenpo under Great Grandmaster James Mitose. Grandmaster Young was one of the first students under Mitose. It has been said that Grandmaster Young was the first to be promoted to black belt by Mitose.

Grandmaster Young goals were to see unification of the martial arts in Hawaii by Hawaii's own martial artists. Grandmaster Young were still active in his teachings. One of the last students who have trained under Grandmaster Young and received a certified black belt certificate was Grandmaster Lyle Ho. Till this very day, Grandmaster Lyle Ho also teaches what Grandmaster Young had taught and carries his banner.
