Instructor Michael O'Handley

Photo Not Available    Michael O'Handley began his training in 1984 at Fred Villari's Studio of Self-Defense in Braintree, MA. Training under Shodan Ann Marie Shamey. Moving in 1986 and transferring to a different studio in the same art which is operated by Nidan Myles Durkin, and is still training with Nidan Durkin today. This being under the Quanfa Association, a member of NEKICK and HMAS. In 1990 Michael O'Handley was promoted to Shodan by F. J. Villari himself.
     In 1991 O'Handley joined the American Kenpo International Association, studying the art of American Kenpo founded by the late Grandmaster Edmund Parker. His instructor being Lenny Sprague, which was taught by Tony Cogliandro, which was a student of Huk Planas who was a student of Grandmaster Parker.
     In 1998 O'Handley joined the Quanfa Association under Professor Myles Durkin and the CKKA/NEKICK which is under Grandmaster Alan Cunningham of E. Bridgewater, MA. O'Handley was promoted by the Quanfa Association, and the NEKICK Association on April 9th, 2000 to the level of Yon Dan - 4th, and Sensei on December of 2001. He is the owner and Chief Instructor of the East Taunton Kenpo Karate Studio which was opened in may of 2002.
