Master Kevin Lingasin
Master Kevin Lingasin is a youngest son of Maestro Bernardo Lingasin and Mrs Zenaida Lingasin. Kevin was born in May 7, 1980 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. His first step into the martial arts was in 1984 where he joined the Sikaran Arnis of Canada instructed by Maestro Dante Alambra. During his training in martial arts he also involved in defferent sports such as swimming, and Boxing. In 1992, Kevin join the Black Kimono martial arts under the instruction of Mr. Tom martial arts under the instruction of Mr. Tom Sulit and acheivd his Blackbelt from Grandmaster Meliton Geronimo. In 1994 The Lingasin Family met Grandmaster Ernesto Amador Presas in the Philippines where Kevin and his family was intoduced in Filipino Martial Arts. Kevin was encourage to train with the top caliber and masters of the (IPMAF) (International Philippine Martial Arts Federation) training camp in the Philippines. Kevin's training involves of the intruction of his father Maestro Bernardo Lingasin, his brother, and Master Edwin Conrod Lao of IPMAF family.
Master Lingasin is the Head Instructor of the Lingasin Martial Arts Academy of Mano y Mano a Filipino traditional martial arts in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada. In 2000, Master Lingasin and his student joined the World Arnis Tournament in Toronto and a combined team of his selected students on his academy to represent Canada at the World Organization of Martial Arts Athletics in Killarny Ireland with a great success. He is also a former member of NASKA, NBL and now active member of WOMAA.
Master Lingasin is humble, patient, dedicated in his teaching career in martial arts, his skill in teaching makes his students close to each other with respect and dignity. He was inducted into the International Hall Of Fame by the World Head Family Sokeship Council as a Master Instructor of the Year 2001.
Master Kevin Lingasin is taking a business degree, his goal is to improve his skill in business in his martial arts career.
