Grandmaster Tony Ramos

Photo Not Available     Grandmaster Tony Ramos, a native of Hawaii started his martial arts training in 1948 and continued his training until he moved to the Los Angeles area in 1960, where he founded his first school. He was later transferred to Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California where he worked as a jet engine mechanic. He started his Fairfield school in 1962.
     Grandmaster Ramos was visited by the legend Bruce Lee for special training to learn more about the American way of gihting. In exchange Bruce Lee would teach his techniques and philosophies. Ramos and Lee formed a life long friendship.
      Grandmaster Tony Ramos was one of five pioneers who brought Kajukenbo to the Mainland from Hawaii. He is also the founder of the Kajukenbo National Federation (KNF).
