Professor Ron Loux

Professor Ron Loux     Professor Ron Loux of Sand Gap, Kentucky has put Eastern Kentucky on the Map. Prof. Loux holds rank and teaching credentials from Nishioka Teruo, Osaka, Japan. He has over 40 years in the martial arts and has brought many outstanding programs to Eastern Kentucky. Prof. Ron Loux was inducted into The Hawaii Martial Arts International Society Hall of Fame on July 12, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada and currently holds the rank of 9th Degree.
Professor Loux has two schools, one of which is "an after school program" and his main dojo. Professor Loux have been working for over a year of a program that he hope will eventually go National. It is an after school program aimed at " At Risk Children." He had a very wonderful meeting on recently with Mr. Ralph Hoskins the Superintendent of the Jackson County School System. He was a Judo student in College and loves the Martial Arts and has stood behind me in the local area for some years. Due to the very successful " after school Program " Professor Loux run currently at one local school the doors seem to be opening for a major boost. The result of the meeting was an ok to begin the process of establishing the Martial Art Education Connection in all five local schools in his area. They have 2,011 students in our public school system and we are hoping to attract about 20%, which will mean about 400 new students for Professor Loux School AASK. He requested he have special access beyond his " After School " program he operate two days a week. They are working out the details where he can teach in the schools while still in daily session as a teacher. He would be teaching Martial Arts as a very special class each day at all five schools.
Professor Loux evening classes will continue at the Sand Gap Studio where he have about 140 students... This will be their " Flag Ship." But he is excited about this major break through because it puts wind into his sails as being recognized as an educator in a new " Pilot Program " that if successful he should be able to license World Wide.
Professor Loux 2nd Annual America's Cup Challenge will be held on September 20, 2003 in Sand Gap, Kentucky.
