Professor Bruce Raney

Professor Bruce Raney

Professor Bruce Raney was born in the State of California. Professor Raney first studied the martial art of Jujitsu in 1970 in Lurkspur, California. In 1972, Professor Raney have also studied Judo in the San Francisco.

Professor Raney holds ranks in Jujitsu, Judo, and in Kodenkan Jujitsu. Professor Raney had the privilege to study under one of Kodenkan Greats and first generation, Grandmaster Sig Kufferath who was one of the first of four Senior Advisors of the Hawaii Martial Arts Society.

Professor Raney have competed in many National tournaments through out his martial arts career and have ranked amongst the best.

Professor Raney style is Mokomoko (rough' em up). Professor Raney is one who likes a rough contact form of jujitsu, using many of the throwing and grappling elements of competition judo, couple with more practical jujitsu arts. Professor Raney is the current Director of Kilohana Martial Arts Association here in Hawaii.
