Professor Joshua St. Ives
Professor Joshua St. Ives started his Kenpo training a in 1962 under Grandmaster Edmund Parker after seeing some locals working out when he lived in Hawaii. Embracing the Polynesian culture he has continued to train in Kenpo & the Samoan art of Limalama under Grandmaster Tino Tuiolosega for over 40 years.
He has cross trained in Kung Fu San Soo under Grandmaster Jimmy H. Woo and a little Aikido when he could find someone willing to throw him.
Professor St. Ives presently holds black belt ranks in the following styles/organizations:

American Kenpo 1st & 4th under Mr Edmund Parker.

Ken-Ju-Bo-Ai 2nd under Professor Sam Brown.

Ken-Chi-Chuan Kenpo-Jujitso 5th Dr. Galbreath.

Limalama 6th & 7th under Grandmaster Tuiolosega.

Yen Ch'ing Tao 7th Under Grandmaster Mcleod & was promoted to Senior Professor 8th under Mr. Mcleod with a rare 100% unanimous board vote.

Professor St. Ives has served as a board of director for some of these organizations and as the Executive Director of TILOA under Mr. Tuiolosega for the USA and Australia.
- Currently he is the Int. Director for Yen Ch'ing Tao of Maui, Hawaii for Grandmaster Mcleod.
After successfully owning and running 3 dojos in San Francisco during the early 1990's he moved to & opened a dojo in Australia his 2nd home. Life threatening injuries ending with surgery has forced him into retirement but on a good day he can be seen out on the mat, his 1st home.
Professor has been inducted and accepted the honor of such, into the Martial Arts Masters, Pioneers and Legends and the World Head of Family Sokeship Council Hall of Fames with gracious gratitude. |
